US Treasury Department announced 400,000 loan modification offers have been extended
Washington, Aug 04 2009 (IFR) - The Treasury Department announced today that more than 400,000 loan modification offers have been extended and more than 230,000 trial modifications have begun through its Making Home Affordable Program, which provides $75 bln in servicer, lender and borrower incentives for successful loan modifications.
Treasury said the program is on track to assist up to 3 to 5 mln homeowners over the next three years.
